Frederico Costa – About Us
Founded in 1823 by Joaquim Augusto da Costa, which was continued by his sucessor Frederico Gaspar da Costa and later by the company Frederico Costa Lda.
Frederico Costa Lda. is a company specialized in the manufacture of decorations that, from the beginning, stood out for being an exclusive supplier to several Ministries, the Portuguese Geographical Society, Liga Naval, among others.
Our focus is, and always will be, the quality of our products and services and customer satisfaction.

FREDERICO COSTA Services
Maintenance
Over time and depending on how people use and handle them, metals tend to oxidize and lose their original tone and shine. In this sense, Frederico Costa Lda. offers a maintenane service that allows you to return your medals to the inital aspect.
Restoration
We have a team specialized in the restoration of objects in silver, gold, copper and tombac, whether to add lost or broken components, repair defects or to repair broken enamel.
Modification
If you want to gold, silver or cover your medals or metallic objects (including earrings, bracelets, necklaces and rings) we have the solution. If you want to change the color of the enamel of any medal or metallic object, it is also possible to do with us.
In addition, we also have the ability to transform certain pieces such as miniatures into pins and cufflinks.
Maintenance, assembly and renovation of bars
If you want to organize all your medals or miniatures in a bar or renew them, we do the assembly, replace the ribbons and rosettes in poor condition, put them all in order and at the same height.
We make bars of different sizes and shapes, depending on the preference of each client.
Sewing
Frederico Costa Lda. in addition to the manufacture of the medals, is responsible for placing and finishing the appropriate ribbons, offering a sewing service that allows the ribbons to be adapted to the needs of each client. We make sashs, rosettes, small and large women’s ribbons, flag ribbons, etc. We also apply rosettes on ribbons
